Ecolab Giving Site and Matching Gift Programs

This page contains information about Matching Gifts, Dollars for Doers and Board Leadership programs.

*Please note: Matching Gifts to Education will be closed Sept. 9-Oct. 31, 2019 and open again Nov. 1-Nov. 15, 2019. This is due to programming for our employees for the U.S. Community Giving Campaign. Thank you for your understanding. (Dollars for Doers and Board Leadership will remain open.)

 All requests are due by Nov. 15, 2019 to be considered for a match in 2019.

Ecolab’s Matching Gift Program encourages and rewards Ecolab employee and retiree involvement in the communities where we live and work. Through the program, Ecolab partners with employees in support of eligible educational institutions (accredited pre-K through university)  through matching contributions, as well as with other eligible 501c3 organizations where employees volunteer and/or serve on the board of directors through our bonus programs.

Please note there are changes coming for the matching gifts program for 2020. Read more below!

  • If you previously access the Ecolab Giving Site, use your personal email address to sign-in and re-create a password.
  • If you have NOT previously accessed the original Ecolab Giving Site, please email Ecolab Community Relations (communityrelations@ecolab.com) with the following information:
    • First Name
    • Last Name
    • Personal E-Mail
    • Contact Phone Number


    We will use this information to add you to the database of eligible users which is updated on a weekly basis.  You will have access the week following confirmation that your information has been successfully added.


Once in the site: 

  • For Matching Gifts to Education, click Give
  • For Dollars for Doers and Board Leadership, click Volunteer and then Record Hours



  • Matching gift receipts will be accepted back to October 1, 2018 through November 15, 2019 for the 2019 Matching Gift to Education program.
  • The Matching gift program will be closed Sept. 9-Oct. 31, 2019.*
  • All requests are due by Nov. 15 each year for processing in that calendar year.

Matching Gifts to Education

Ecolab will match your contributions (whether your contribution is cash, check or securities) to an accredited school at a minimum of $50 to a maximum of $1,000 per employee per calendar year.

New for 2020: The Matching Gifts program is expanding!  Starting Nov. 16, 2019, you can make donations to education AND OTHER qualifying 501c3 nonprofit organizations via credit card directly in the Ecolab Giving Site and request a 50% match for up to $1,000 max match per person per year (Nov. 16, 2019-Nov. 2020 and so on). You will no longer need to upload receipts and other organizations besides just schools are eligible.

Dollars for Doers (formerly Volunteer Bonus Program)

Ecolab will donate up to $200 to a qualifying 501(c)3 organization where you volunteer 25 or more hours in a calendar year.

Board Leadership (formerly Community Leadership Program)

Ecolab will donate up to $500 to a qualifying 501(c)3 organization for which an employee serves on the Board of Directors (excluding churches) per calendar year.


In accordance with Ecolab’s Code of Conduct, contributions will not be made to organizations that  discriminate on the basis of gender, race, ethnic origin, nationality, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, age, disability, marital status, veteran status, other personal characteristics or conditions protected by national, state or local law.
