Ecolab Inc., the global leader in water, food safety and infection prevention technologies and services, has been recognized as a Top Company for Executive Women by the National Association for Female Executives (NAFE).

The NAFE Top Companies for Executive Women list ranks leading U.S. companies with best practices that move women to senior ranks, including mentoring, involvement in employee resource groups and leadership development training.

In addition to focusing on its workplaces, women now comprise 38% of Ecolab’s board of directors, outpacing the average percentage of women serving in board of director roles at the companies named to the 2020 NAFE Top Companies list, which stands at 34%.

A third-party review of compensation in the U.S. confirmed that Ecolab pays associates fairly regardless of gender or race. The company is conducting this comprehensive review every two years, with the next compensation review occurring in 2020.

The 2020 NAFE Top Companies for Executive Women list will be featured in the April/May issue of Working Mother.

Celebrating Ecolab’s commitments and progress on International Women’s Day

This week, thousands of Ecolab associates around the world will participate in events to mark International Women’s Day, celebrate the achievements of women and support the company’s commitment to gender equality.

“International Women’s Day is a great time to reflect on Ecolab’s progress in promoting a more gender-equal world,” said Beth Simermeyer, executive vice president and president, Healthcare and Life Sciences, and current executive sponsor of E3, Ecolab’s employee resource group (ERG) committed to the advancement of women leaders. “It’s also a day to think about the progress Ecolab will continue to lead in the years ahead.”

To help celebrate, the E3 ERG is sharing a video featuring perspectives from Ecolab associates around the world, centering on the #EachforEqual theme of this year’s International Women’s Day.
